Shogran-KPK is a lush green hill station that is situated at a height of 7749 feet above sea level. The distance from Balakot is 34 KM. This hill station is famous for its GREEN WORLD. You will see greenery and peaceful lawns everywhere.
Traveling to Shogran
You will move from Islamabad to Kiwai and the total distance is 212 KM. From Lahore, the total distance is 562.7 KM which you are going to cover in almost 9 to 10 hours.
Mobile networks are available and the rest houses are very beautiful. Each and every hotel gives you the awesome look of the lush green lawns. The road that takes you from Kiwai to Shogran is very dangerous. Driving in personal cars is almost impossible on that road to try to use the local bus as those drivers are addicted to those dangerous paths.

Shogran Climate
This hill station is open in both winter and summer but in winter only one hotel is available. And it is the riskiest thing to go there in extreme snowfall. But those who have the TRAVELLING CHASKA love to go there.
The temperature in the daytime is from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius and at night 2 to 3 degrees Celsius or even less in summer. Warm clothes are the basic need to go there.
The weather shows unexpected changes like heavy storms, thunderstorms, and rain that will last for days.
Sometimes it is extremely difficult for visitors to walk around in SHOGRAN.
Many rumors are there that lions and other Jungli beasts move around at night in Shogran. But in my personal experience, nothing like that happened.
The view of the sky from Shogran is mesmerizing. Especially when it is clear. You will feel like you are touching the stars. They are so close to you.
