Junaid got married to Ayesha in a reception held at The Lanesborough in Knightsbridge, London, in August 2021. Unfortunately, Junaid’s parents, Maryam and Captain Safdar, couldn’t attend the wedding due to travel restrictions in Pakistan at that time.
Notably, former premier Nawaz Sharif and ex-finance minister Ishaq Dar were in attendance at the event.
After the announcement, Junaid removed all pictures with his former wife from his Instagram.
Ayesha, the daughter of Saifur Rahman Khan, a close associate of Nawaz Sharif and the chairman of the Ehtesab Bureau during Nawaz’s second tenure as Prime Minister in 1997, was born and raised in Qatar. She completed her primary and secondary education in England and later graduated from University College London.
