Camel’s Leg Severed as Punishment in Sanghar District

In Mund Jamrao village, Sanghar district, a landlord allegedly cut off a camel’s leg as punishment for foraging in his field for fodder on Friday.

In a statement, the provincial minister said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had taken notice of the incident, and the five accused had been arrested.

He added that although the matter had been settled between the accused and the camel’s owner, the act was still humanely unacceptable.

Peoples on Social Media

The incident gained widespread attention on social media, prompting Sanghar SSP to take notice. The SSP contacted the camel’s owner, Soomar Behan, a poor peasant.

Police officials said the peasant refused to identify the culprit or press charges against him. Therefore, the police filed an FIR on behalf of the state against unknown persons under sections 429 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
