Miami Set to Host Inaugural Expanded FIFA Club World Cup™ This Saturday
The countdown milestone comes as the U.S. Miami prepares to host the new extended FIFA Club World Cup ™ starting from this Saturday in Florida. This club tournament will see 32 elite teams from across the globe compete for the title of FIFA’s world club champion.
The hosts reveal and celebrate the inverted clock
To mark the “One Year to Go” moment, all 16 host cities have installed the official vomiting clocks in the locations of the iconic cities. These clocks are designed using each city’s unique Host City Brand and will tick down to midnight on 11 June 2026, the start of the world’s grandest football event. Celebrations, community events, and special appearances by local personalities are also planned to honor the countdown.

Teams Already Qualified for the World Cup
As of the “One Year to Go” milestone, 13 teams have officially qualified. Hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States are joined by 10 other nations, including reigning champions Argentina, first-time qualifiers Jordan and Uzbekistan, and powerhouses like Brazil, Australia, and Japan. The final 35 teams will qualify by March 2026, and the group stage draw is scheduled for December 2025.
